Individual Therapy

  • How often do we say ‘I’m stressed’ and continue with our lives? Stress, though minor, can cause physical and mental health ailments, burnout, and feelings of unmotivation, annoyance, irritability, hopelessness, and stuckness. With COVID-19, many of us have been working from home, creating a work/life balance that can cause stress and burnout. As your therapist, I’ll help you identify your stress and find healthy solutions to cope and thrive.

  • Many of us experience anxiety and depression in situations that trigger nervousness, fear, sadness, or hopelessness. Our thoughts often overwhelm us, affecting our daily functioning. Seeking help can feel daunting, leading to isolation and confusion. As your therapist, I’ll help you explore your symptoms and understand them better. Together, we’ll find practical coping strategies to balance your life and manage anxiety and depression.

  • We all have self-esteem, positive or negative, that influences our lives. Low self-esteem can affect our self-confidence, leading to self-doubt and questioning our worth. Loving ourselves is a sign of strength that can boost self-esteem. As your therapist, I’ll help you explore low self-esteem areas and find healthy solutions to increase confidence. Together, we can practice self-love to be authentic and overcome fears.

  • As a woman of color, I’ve faced discrimination and racism, which evokes a range of emotions like anger, frustration, sadness, disappointment, and hopelessness. As a nation, we’ve acknowledged racism’s existence, but BIPOC have long learned to navigate spaces where we’re the only people of color. Being BIPOC can be taxing, so finding support is crucial for our well-being. A therapist who understands racial trauma’s impact on our sense of self can help us deconstruct our beliefs, process past and present trauma, increase self-love, and advocate for ourselves.

  • Our identity shapes our perception and how we present ourselves. Navigating this process with a professional can bring clarity and confidence in being authentic. Whether coming out or discovering your identity, it can be isolating. I’ll help you find ways to be more authentic and genuine. I’m LGTBQIA+ affirming and welcome all races, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations.

  • Facing trauma, whether through abuse, neglect, or traumatic events, can be debilitating. It often leaves us feeling hopeless, scared, and unaware of its impact on our lives. Understanding your trauma is the first step to breaking free from its hold. As a trauma-informed therapist, I’ll help you understand your trauma and its daily effects. I’ll work with you to identify triggers and find coping solutions in a safe, non-judgmental, and client-centered space.

  • As social beings, we crave partnerships, but this path can be challenging. We desire love and acceptance, often fearing rejection and showing our authentic selves. Therapy can help break down barriers and patterns hindering our relationships. I’ll explore your relationship patterns, clarify your needs, and find someone who meets them. We’ll create healthy boundaries, open up, and foster a healthy current or future relationship.

  • Adoption can be emotionally complex, whether you’re deciding or facing infertility. A professional can be invaluable. I’ve worked with families facing infertility, considering adoption, or with adopted children. I’ve successfully helped finalize adoptions in both the public and private sectors. I’ll support you throughout the process, from beginning to end.
